Kitty Smash!! . . .and That's That

Ah. . .the fiftith review. MY fiftith review. And it's for yet another artist well known for being from Fireball 20XL. Interesting, that.
Well. . . This is the first time that Kristy "Scorch" Sunshine has dwelled into the land of animation, much less Flash animation. But is this a GOOD thing? Perhaps not everyone would think so.

Graphic-wise, every original frame of animation is drawn quite well. The graphical style changes from scene to scene, but rest-assured, this is done on purpose. The three different styles(normal, chibi/anime, and manga-style black-and-white-action scene) combine together to make a short, but memorable little movie that most people who don't have a board up their bums can enjoy. It may not be as wholey beautiful as some of the other movies here on Newgrounds, but it's still a lot better than a great many number of them, too!

The style of the movie isn't entirely original, but isn't entirely unoriginal, either. Basically, the movie has a slightly familiar feel to it, particularly if you've watched one of various Japanese anime series, but of course, given the circumstance, randomness, and original characters, it's kept pretty fresh.

Not many sounds were used, but the sound effects used were of high quality, not only fitting into whichever scene they were used in, but also sounding good in the process. The voices are also very clear and sound equally good.
No music was used, but of course, I'm not going to add or remove points for that. That'd be just stupid. I do think, however, a little light music might've added a little to the movie.

There was a little violence in this movie.(I mean, it's called "Anti BAT v2.0". That should tell you something.) It was used well, though.(Does not effect overall score.)

No interactivity. Amusing as the thought may be, pressing the "Play" button does NOT truly count as interactivity.(Does not effect overall score.)

Given the style, I think this movie was indeed QUITE cute and humorous. I can't honestly see how it could have been much more amusing, but there ARE more amusing movies out there, for certain.

So. . . In short, this is a very good movie for a first try, but it could have been a little better in a few ways. Little knitpicky things. Ya know? A pretty good attempt, Kris. Glad to see you on Newgrounds as an artist. And thus ends my fiftith review. Thanks for sticking with me so far, if you have. If not, you probably aren't missing much.

"EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEME". . .ly Boring

(NOTICE: I'm ranking the Uncensored Version, not that it matters any.)

Ah, "Loonatics". . . It's a little like Tiny Toon Adventures, but in the complete opposite direction, and then some. This just gives you an idea of what may very well be in store for you, should you watch it. . . This cartoon stars two kids and a very extreme and extremely verbose/verbally-abusive Buzz Bunny. Sound like fun? Perhaps. . .

The art for this Flash movie was pretty well-done. The original art, I mean. The yanked Buzz Bunny graphic looked great and all, but it wasn't exactly an original drawing.(Correct me if I'm wrong.) The backgrounds also looked pretty decent. It could all be better, though. For example, there's obvious separation at the joints on Buzz. But I digress.

The style wasn't exactly original. Just Buzz cursing a lot with some random visual aids.

The sound was alright. It was pretty damned clear what everyone was saying.

There was no ACTUAL violence, but there was a lot of talk about violent stuff, so I think that rates.(Does not effect Overall score.)

No interactivity.(Does not effect Overall score.)

Finally, the movie was funny the first one or two times I saw it, but after that. . .meh. Just dull and noisy.

So overall, it's not a bad movie. It's a good way to mock Loonatics, in fact. But it could probably be a lot better if there was some more action and whatnot.

It's Like F-Zero with Furries and Motorcycles

Heh. I figured you'd upload this here, Andy. That's probably the reason I didn't suggest it myself, come to think of it. Well, let's get right into it, shall we?

The hand-drawn frames of animation and backgrounds are pretty much flawless. They're fluid and beautiful. I saw no flaws in the graphics whatsoever.

The style is very grand, as well. It reminds me a little of some video games I can't recall the name of right offhand, but in this case, it's a good thing. It gives a feeling of familiarity to the movie while keeping things original.

The music is rather grainy. It's still understandable and all that, but it's really low-quality stuff. It makes for a smaller movie size, sure, but still. . .

There's a little bit of violence in this movie. Mostly explosions, wipe-outs, etc. Nothing huge.(Does not effect Overall rating.)

No interactivity.(Does not effect Overall rating.)

No humour that -I- can detect.(Does not effect Overall rating.)

Pretty short review with only three of the given ratings effecting the Overall rating, huh? Anyway. . .this music video is pretty good. It's a lot better than the Rockman NEO video. A lot more colourful and whatnot. I think it deserves the score I gave it.

And, to all my "fans" out there? Hey, look! A GOOD review! Oh-em-gee dubya-tee-eff, slacktards.(Sorry, Andy. Just proving some idiots wrong.)

A Solid-5 Vote, Just Like The First!

There are very few movies on Newgrounds that I absolutely 100% HAVE to vote 5 upon. This. . .is one of those movies.

The graphics and art were smooth and fluid, much like in the original. There are absolutely 100% no jags or bad parts of the graphics at all! I'm pretty sure every frame was drawn by hand, on that note. Absolutely beautiful. . .

The style rates high as this music video is extremely original from what I can tell. The song used is a Korean Pop song, and not many people use K-Pop in the movies, so. . . Plus, the storyline is just so adorable. . . I'm always a sucker for romantic comedies mixed action, good music, and overall awesomeness.(. . .that sounded less professional than I was hoping for. But you get the idea.)

The sound is pretty much flawless. You can understand all the words to the music, but there is some typical Flash "fuzziness" due to a degrade in quality while compressing the sound. But that's okay. Like I said, it doesn't hurt it much.

There is a little cartoon violence in this movie. Nothing horrendous. This proves you can made a beautiful, wonderful Flash movie without needing to have violence in it.(Does not effect Overall score.)

No interactivity, like most movies.(Does not effect Overall score.)

Finally, this is a very cute, and very funny movie. I'm gonna have to watch this again after I finish this review! I absolutely LOVE this series!

So overall, this movie is just as every bit good as the last "There She Is!!" movie, and then some. It's longer, cuter, and has more storyline to it. If you liked the original, or even if you've never seen the original, then this movie is worth every bit of your time.

An Insult to Star Control Fans Everywhere

You sincerely hurt my feelings with this piece of garbage. NEVER. . . Put this sort of THING. . . On NEWGROUNDS. . . EVER. . . AGAIN. . .

The graphics were remarkably very well ripped from Final Fantasy and Star Control II, but the background ripped from Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden 3 is JPEG-blurred and THEN some. Not good, dude.
Secondly, what the Hell does Star Control II have to do with Final Fantasy, or Final Fantasy with Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden 3? Or DBZ SB3 with Star Control II?? Explain THAT one to me.
Finally, why the crap was the Thief using a SWORD? Thieves can not use SWORDS in the game, or most other games, really, god damn it. The only game I know of right offhand where a Thief can use a sword would be Rangarok ONLINE. Anyway, seeing as there was absolutely no explaination as to why he might be weilding a long blade, it doesn't make any sense at all.

The style is. . . . . . How shall I put this. . . Non-existant. I'm terribly confused as to what the point of this thing is. I DO know that this thing has absolutely no style, however. I usually only reserve that number for things that are non-existant in whichever movie I'm reviewing, so. . .yeah. ZERO.

The sound quality is superb. But unfortunately, that doesn't matter at all, considering how badly everything is screwed-up. You have the Starship Commander's voice blithering on while the Pkunk theme plays in the background and the Yehat are typing away on their consoles. I mean. . . WHAT? THE? FUCK?!

There was mild violence, considering Thief and Fighter were whacking their swords together endlessly. Yawn.(Does not effect Overall score.)

No interactivity. No problem there.(Does not effect Overall score.)

No HUMOUR. Well, no, I take that back. The screwed screenshot with the gryphon on the player's side of the screen and four Fighters from Final Fantasy III was. . .ALMOST funny. But otherwise, no. Just. . .no.

I'm sorry, but you fail. You fail at the Portal. You fail at life. You are an abysmol excuse for a Flash artist. You should be ashamed of yourself. What would your dear, sweet mother say if she saw this? Or maybe I should be asking, "In the back of her mind, what would she be THINKING?," considering your mom would probably give you a generic "Oh, honey, that's great!" and be on her way. Harr.

Five, Five, Five, THREE, ZERO, FOUR. . .FIVE?!

Was this a good movie? Uh. . . . . .um. . . . . .erf. Crap. I can't seem to remember. All I can remember at the moment is. . . . . .five. Five. Five, five, and more five. . . .let's see if we can get this thing going anyway. . .

Um. . . Graphics. Fives. . . Lots of fives everywhere in this movie. Um. . . Fives. . .and some people. Some crappy Flash, some good Flash. . . . . .fives. . . Five segments(?). . . Oi. Yeah. . . Average graphics, after taking into consideration all the segments. So, uh. . . . . .five. o_o

The style varies from segment to segment. . . Some segments are very stylish in their way of doing something with the number "five". And some aren't. Not very descriptive, I know. . .but this movie warped my brain. As I said, all I can think about now is. . .five. . .

The sound. . . . . .hah! The sound isn't a five! The sounds is around, uh. . . . . .grr. . . Average. It's. . .a five, too. . . Damn it.

There wasn't much violence in this movie. Only in one segment was there any real violence, and it was mostly just blood and beatings. So. . . Three. . . .hah!(Does not effect overall rating.)

No interactivity.(Does not effect overall rating.)

The humour rounds out to a good healthy dose of random chuckles, really. I chuckled over one or two things, but not over much. Then again, this wasn't really intended to be a funny movie. More of a weird-ass "Jam"/experiment. So. . .4-ish.(Does not effect overall rating.)

What this comes out to. . .*drumroll*. . .is. . . . . .a FIVE. God damn it! No! Arugh! *brain melts*

. . .I'm still not voting 5. >_>;

I dunno what to tell you about myself.
I like music and video games, and I've been for years. Also, I like Roll. (:
